We had quite a big scare this past week. On Monday, we had to rush little Pippin the Pomeranian to the emergency vet. Being not even 11 weeks old at that point, and a smaller breed, he’s very vulnerable to losing fluids fast. Not to mention in his blood sugar levels. The vet was as concerned as us, and we were forced to leave Pippin in their care for a grueling 6 hours.
Even after we got Pippin back, it was still quite scary. He wasn’t eating or drinking properly, and we had to monitor him closely to ensure he got enough food and fluid. Almost two days later, he recovered physically but has developed some severe separation anxiety. More so than before.
It was a scary experience and we’re watching Pippin even more closely than we were before to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.
Onto less stressful news: it’s December! And to celebrate this festive season, some amazing Urban Fantasy authors have set up an advent calendar. We’re three days in, so you can immediately skip the first three days.
